Topping out ceremony of the LNQE new research building

Grant topping out ceremony under presence of Minister of Science Lutz Stratmann at 15th September 2008.

After one year of construction time, the Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering (LNQE) celebrated the Topping out ceremony of the LNQE new research building at Schneiderberg 38, 30167 Hannover, Germany.

The Greeting were given by Dipl.-Ing. Matthias Reinhard (head of public project management Hannover), Prof. Dr. Erich Barke (president of Leibniz Universität Hannover), Lutz Stratmann (minister for science and culture of Lower Saxony), Prof. Dr. Rolf Haug (speaker of the executive board of the LNQE), and Michael Zimmermann (architectural office KSP Engel and Zimmermann). All speakers underlined the first-rate performance of all planners, persons responsible, and construction workers, to put up this high technological research building. Commended mentioned was the successful evaluation of the LNQE new research building by the german Wissenschaftsrat and also the resent positive evaluation of the LNQE as an interdisciplinary research center by the Wissenschaftliche Kommission Niedersachsen.

After the topping-out speech by Mr. Hermann, foreman of the firm Industriebau Wernigerode, the topping-out crown was set. "..that the person, who researches here, that he can pay it also" wished Mr. Hermann with a wink with the eye.

At 17th July 2009 is the date of transfer of the buildung to the users. The daly construction progress can be seen with the webcam of the LNQE.
