New member from the Nanoelectronics

Juniorprofessor Wietler from Institute of Electronic Materials and Devices joins LNQE

Newest member of the interdisciplinary research center Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering is Prof. Dr.-Ing Tobias Wietler. Since May 2011, he is "juniorprofessor for Silicon-Based Nano Electronic Materials and Devices" at Institute of Electronic Materials and Devices of Leibniz Universität Hannover.

His research interests are:

  • Silicon-based nanoelectronic and optoelectronic devices
  • Materials for optoelectronic devices on silicon substrates
  • Molecular beam epitaxy of silicon and germanium
  • Modification of heteroepitaxy with surfactants
  • Fabrication and characterization of Si/Ge-epitaxial films and heterodevices

In the teaching he offers the lectures "MOS Transistors and Memory" and "Bipolar Devices", and in addition the seminar "Micro-and Nanoelectronic Devices".

Welcome Prof. Wietler at the LNQE!
