Newest member of the interdisciplinary research center Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering is Prof. Dr.-Ing Tobias Wietler. Since May 2011, he is "juniorprofessor for Silicon-Based Nano Electronic Materials and Devices" at Institute of Electronic Materials and Devices of Leibniz Universität Hannover.
His research interests are:
- Silicon-based nanoelectronic and optoelectronic devices
- Materials for optoelectronic devices on silicon substrates
- Molecular beam epitaxy of silicon and germanium
- Modification of heteroepitaxy with surfactants
- Fabrication and characterization of Si/Ge-epitaxial films and heterodevices
In the teaching he offers the lectures "MOS Transistors and Memory" and "Bipolar Devices", and in addition the seminar "Micro-and Nanoelectronic Devices".
