BMBF delegation visits nanotechnology in Hanover

International scientists are guest in LNQE.

On Monday, 20 April 2009, an international BMBF delegation of scientists visited as part of the Hanover Trade Fair the Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering (LNQE) of the Leibniz Universität Hannover. The guests come from different South American countries and from Poland and Russia.

The visit program displays diverse activities in at LNQE participating institutions. In the morning, the Laser Zentrum Hannover e. V., showed which nanotechnological applications with the laser are possible. Then a visit to the Institute for Microtechnology in the Centre for Production Technology Hanover was on the program. In the afternoon, the physical mechanisms in the smallest structures in the Institute for Solid State Physics in Nordstadt was bring closer. There is also in sight the construction LNQE research building. Finally, in the Department of Semiconductor Technology and Devices, the growth of novel semiconductor materials for nanoelectronics was shown.
