Second general meeting of the LNQE in 2005

Summary of LNQE activities in the second mid-year 2005.

On Wednesday 15.06.2005 the second general meeting of the LNQE in 2005 took place. The most importand agenda items were in brief:

  • Changes in the memberships: Priv. Doz. Dr. Michael Wark quits in 2006. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ludger Overmeyer from the Institute for Transportation- and Automation Technology joins in 2006.

  • Report of the executive board: Prof. H.-Jörg Osten (Speaker of the Executive Board) informed over the events of the last mid-year and emphasized the must to create research clusters in the LNQE in particularly.

  • The annual report of the LNQE 2005 will be given here to public soon.

  • Financial report/ determination of the membership fee 2006: The general meeting has set the membership fee for 2006 at 1000 Euro.

  • Study course "micro- and nanotechnology": Presentation of the planned study course "micro- and nanotechnology" of the LNQE by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Heinrich Gatzen (member of the executive board and coordinator of the planning group of the study course).

  • Colloquia 2006: The LNQE colloquium continues in 2006 with tandem talks from the LNQE and foreign guests. The date is still the last Wednesday of the month. The LNQE Office looks forward to talks from our work groups. Please contact us for a date request. In addition, the NanoDay 2006 is scheduled for Thursday, 5. October 2006.

  • LNQE building: The current status of plans for an own LNQE building were presented to the members. Let's keep fingers crossed!

  • Workshops: More workshops are planned for staff members in particularly to generate large scientific cluster proposals. Details coming soon.
