In the spring of 2010 Professor Rissing has taken over from Prof. Gatzen. Professor Rissing has now joined the LNQE. Please note that the former Institute of Microtechnology has been renamed into Institute of Microproduction Engineering in 02/15/2010.
The Institute for Microproduction Engineering researches in the following areas:
- Thin film
- Mechanical micro-machining and assembly
- Microtribology
- Concepts in the field of education and training in micro system technology
In addition, the Institute will focus its activities on:
- Assembly and packaging at wafer level
