New Member from the Inorganic Chemistry

Professor Renz from the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry joins the LNQE.

Prof. Dr. Franz Renz from the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, Research Group Renz is a new member of the LNQE.

He is researching the synthesis and characterization of multistable molecular materials. Such compounds are physical (eg light, temperature, pressure, etc.) and chemical (eg solvates, pH, ligand exchange, etc.) switchable between electronic states accompanied with drastic changes in properties (such as: color, bond lengths, etc.).
In the center of the work is the element iron and as physical main method Mössbauer spectroscopy is used, among other things as a SOT member of the NASA Mars Exploration Rover Mission.

Welcome to Professor Renz and staff at the LNQE!
