Date note: NanoDay 2010

Interdisciplinary workshop on nanotechnology

On Thursday 30th September 2010, the Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering (LNQE) of the Leibniz Universität Hannover organize the NanoDay 2010.  This workshop will present in eight lectures and a poster session the latest research results from the interdisciplinary working groups in the field of nanotechnology. Nanotechnology deals with materials, techniques and characteristics of things that are smaller than 100 nanometers. A nanometer is one billionth of a meter. In addition, in a special lecture the technology of the new LNQE-research building will be introduced. Participation in the NanoDay 2010 is free of charge, a registration is not required.

The Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering (LNQE) is an interdisciplinary research center of the Leibniz Universität Hannover in the field of nanotechnology. Substantive goals are both excellent basic research as well as application-oriented engineering at the nanoscale accompanied by appropriate cross-disciplinary training. Currently 26 research groups from five faculties are involved in the LNQE who work together in the institutes and in the newly built LNQE-research buildings.
