Record for First Year Degree Course Beginners in Nanotechnology

Re-accreditation also goes well

For now started wintersemester 2014/15, we welcome 98 new bachelor students on the study course nanotechnology. This is an increase of approximately 70% over the previous year and the highest number of freshmen for the in 2006 launched program at all. In the in 2011 launched 2011 Master's program, 7 new students have enrolled.

The course nanotechnology covers the basics in the core subjects of chemistry, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and physics (supplemented by mathematics), while the realization of which is grown in nanotechnology, is supported in particular. Already in the course of the bachelor program, is it then to deepen in each one science and one engineer core subject. In the master's degree program, students have a wide choice of different electoral areas of expertise to qualify on current research in nanotechnology.

The course nanotechnology is now reviewed by ASIIN. Both programs, i.e. Bachelor's and Master's program, are re-accredited preliminary subject to conditions and recommendations by July 24, 2015. After meeting the requirements (these are good realizable formalities), there is a final re-accreditation of courses to 09/30/2021. In particular, the good cooperation between the program managers with the students was praised by the experts and highlighted the enthusiasm of the students for their courses in nanotechnology.
