LNQE successfully evaluated

Confirmation as Leibniz Research Centre for further five years

The presidium of Leibniz Universität Hannover has extended the classification of the Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering (LNQE) after prior evaluation by the Scientific Commission of Lower Saxony as an interdisciplinary Leibniz Research Centre for another five years at its meeting of 10/22/2014.

Leibniz research centers represent international and high visibility scientific research areas. The collaboration extends over specialists and faculty boundaries and includes the participation of external research institutions. The Leibniz research centers are evaluated at periodic intervals of approximately five years. There are currently, including the LNQE, seven Leibniz research centers at the University.

The evaluation by the Scientific Commission of Lower Saxony was headed by Prof. Abstreiter (TU Munich). The on-site inspection of the seven-member international group of experts in Hannover took place on 01/31/2014.

The LNQE heartily thanks to the referees for their commitment and their recommendations. Another thanks goes to all members and staff from the LNQE working groups for their great support during the evaluation.
